Description

From Ritmo di Perla (Gruppo La Perla), this is a long black vest in a crochet knit diamond mesh pattern that is completely covered in glass bugle beads. There is almost no thread showing except at the edges/hem. I believe the tubular glass seed beads are 5-sided pentagons, but they could be six-sided. The irregular shape, finish and sheer multitudes of beads make the garment sparkle. And the beautiful craftsmanship keeps the beads mostly on the front of the garment so that it is a bit smoother against the body. Closure is with 5 faceted buttons and loops. This design was called "Klimt". Made in Italy circa the mid-1990s. Fabric and care: 100% viscose rayon (referring to the thread) and glass beads - Hand wash cold, dry flat Labeled as a women's Italian size 46, USA size 10, German size 40, UK size 14 and French size 42. The following measurements were taken flat with the garment buttoned and placed without overly stretching it. But please note that there is room for stretching due to the construction and the garment is designed to cling to the body: Shoulder to shoulder: 15 1/2 inches Underarm to underarm: 16 1/2 inches Narrows to 13 inches in the middle and straight down until the hem Hem: 16 1/2 inches Length: 40 inches in back, 39 inches in front The generous arm opening is 20" all around The v-neck goes down 12 inches The buttons are 4 inches apart This garment is in excellent condition with no flaws.. The label was snipped off because it would show during wear (see photo 12). It will be sent along.
